Audible

As a Marketing Specialist for Audible's Audiobook Creation Exchange (ACX), I developed a new brand strategy and messaging guidelines. I also led content strategy and copywriting for the blog, social media, and email campaigns. Additionally, I produced 40min episodes for a YouTube series and led the content marketing strategy to drive engagement. 

Key Contributions

Brand Strategy & Development: I conducted a competitor analysis and audience research, using these insights to build the brand strategy for the coming year. I also revised and updated existing brand guidelines to include guidance around voice and tone, messaging, and positioning. Then, I socialized the revised guidelines and trained my team on following them.

Video Production: I produced 3 videos for ACX University season 2020 and 2021, leading the creative direction for each video and collaborating with the video editor. I developed the outline and script / interview questions for each video, casted talent and managed the coordination and logistics, and managed live streams. I also hosted 2 videos, speaking on-camera and leading the interviews. 

Social Media: I led the social media strategy for ACX's Facebook, Instagram, X (formerly Twitter) and YouTube. This involved an audit, competitor and user research, and collaboration with teams from Audible's other business lines. I also managed the editorial calendar and crafted copy and graphics to drive engagement, educate our audiences, and promote content like ACX University. As the social media manager, I also gained experience in PR and crisis communications and strategy, working closely with the Audible global social media team.

Content Strategy & Copywriting: I managed the content strategy on the ACX blog, auditing existing content for updates as well as identifying gaps and opportunities for future content. I researched and wrote a 3-part audiobook production blog series, as well as several shorter pieces interviewing indie narrators. Throughout my writing, I used plain language, scannable headlines and sections, and relatable metaphors to make technical topics accessible to all audiences. Read my articles on the ACX blog.

Content Design: I collaborated with a UX designer to create copy and provide content strategy for a website redesign and product landing pages. I also supported the QA and development teams on creating copy for new features on the ACX platform.
